I placed an order over 2 weeks ago and I still HAVE NOT received shipping confirmation... I placed an order online two months ago and it took about 5 days for the item to ship then a following 5 days for the shipment. I thought it was too long but I gave them a second chance with my most recent order. IT WAS A MISTAKE. Unless you are okay with ordering an item to come a month later DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.
Be careful in reading the small print! Their interpretation of what is written is different from yours and mine! "Allow extra time due to Covid"; well, 5 months ago I would have accepted that! "Delay of 10 days in shipping"; forget the shipping, you need to be more concerned with the PROCESSING! I placed an order, THREE weeks later it still hadn't been processed. I've called Customer Service 3 times. All 3 reps have gone through a very scripted speech. I've called them out on the explanations given me. It states on the website you can't cancel once the order is processed---here's the good part! My order will be processed "sometime this week." BUT, even though it hasn't actually been processed yet, I still can't cancel it. And the next statement was the clincher for me--"Then it will be 10-15 business days before you may receive it." 15 business days = 3 weeks! Again, be careful, and I hope you aren't ordering a birthday gift you needed in a month!

Thank you very much in advance
As much as I used to love going to TJMaxx I don't even want to think about the store after it messed up all my online orders. Even with its other brand Sierra. At first I was excited to shop from TJMaxx.com. Both stores show great selections online and good discounts also. Don't be fooled. Your order either gets cancelled the next day or mysteriously ships after 5-7 days after you bought it somewhere else because you were told the order was cancelled. What's the point of ordering anything with them if it's all going to be cancelled or super late? Buyer beware, you're money is going to get tied up on orders that never come in.
I've been a loyal customer for decades. TJ Maxx has lost me for good. No more mask mandates, in my state, and I am fully vaccinated... but the fitting rooms are STILL CLOSED, and customers must wear masks? No. Ridiculous. Wake up, corporate. I will not patronize a business which requires a fully vaccinated loyal customer to wear a mask, and doesn't permit her to try on clothing in the store.
And corporate needs to realize that people are purchasing clothes in the store, bringing them into the handicap stall in the rear of the store, trying them on, and returning the ones they don't want, immediately.
I purchased some clothes a few months ago at TJ Maxx ago, brought the clothes to the filthy tire shop bathroom next door, tried them on there, and came back and returned the ones I didn't want.
Just open the dang dressing rooms. Insanity, TJ Maxx.
Very liberal store but pays like crap. I thought they love above minimum wage and want to raise wages? I’m working for $9 an hour. Just shows liberals don’t actually care!!!!!!!!
I absolutely love TJ Maxx. I shop at the brick and mortar store all the time. I bought some pillows and curtains for my sun room online and it was a terrible experience. It took over a week for them to process my order and finally ship it. Ok, no big deal. When I got my shipment almost 2 weeks after I ordered it (after it looked like someone played kickball with my package and one of the packages were open) I saw they put the completely wrong throw pillows in my package. It wasn't even close to what I ordered. I called and they wanted me to send these big throw pillows back before I got my refund. I'm slightly irritated at this point but ok, I'll do that. THEN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP SAID MY ORIGINAL PILLOWS I ORDERED WERE OUT OF STOCK. The solution? When they got the wrong pillows back and finally issue a refund, I can go online and pick OTHER pillows to order instead. You have got to be kidding me. I'm never ordering online again. Don't do it.
TJ takes no care in how they pack their online orders. I got a huge box of heavy items and more than half of it was ruined and leaking. Only one or two items had protective bubble wrapping. All thrown in a huge box, no cushioning.
Of greatest concern was the fact that there were four very heavy rechargeable batteries in the box. This is most likely what caused a lot of the damaged items. They were labeled, "Hazardous" and "Wash Hands after Handling".
The presence of these hazardous batteries were the deciding factor in my decision to take the return in to the store rather than returning it by Fedex.
I went through the invoice and marked the quantity of damaged items, organized them by type and took to the store for return. This was a large order and this was quite a bit of work, but I figured it would simplify things when I went in. Still, the in-store part took well over an hour and the "coordinator" was patronizing to the point of being entirely rude.
When I told her about the batteries, she attempted to refuse accepting them, saying "We have no way to dispose of these."
She called a manager over and beckoned to her to have a private conversation in an adjoining cashier bay, behind a dividing wall. As if I were suspect. I went around the barrier and questioned why the conversation needed to be private.
The manager told me that that store was getting a new recycling vendor within the next week or so and that they would dispose of these properly.
After that exchange, the coordinator dropped her snide and condescending manner.
Although I had the invoice, the number was not on it, so I had to either accept a store credit or come back. Also, I had not brought the credit card I had used for the transaction (silly me, I thought that would be in their computer), so I accepted the store credit.
I did, however, refuse to show my driver's license. I had a valid receipt. It was not my fault it didn't have the needed info on it. Plus I had to wait a good half hour while the coordinator keyed in all the info because of the lack of the invoice number on the TJonline-printed receipt. Normally, I would've just showed the license. But they were treating me like some kind of bum despite the fact of being greatly inconvenienced by TJ's foul ups.
I had counted the items and totaled so that it would be easy to determine if I had received the correct credit. When they came up one item short in their count, the manager was called again. Her count was one item short. To verify my notes made ahead of time (made specifically to avoid this type of issue and time wasting), I counted and found my notation was correct. Another thing I would've just passed over if I had not been treated in such a disdainful manner.
After an additional five minutes wasted, their finally conceded that my count was the correct one. Did they say, "oh, sorry"? Lol.
Any time I pointed out their unhappy as-if-I-were-somehow-to-blame demeanor, they kept saying "Online returns are such a problem" or something like that. Yes, I understand that. But they ARE on the clock, no? They made it very clear that I was a nuisance.
Conclusion: Don't order too many items in one order, don't mix heavy items in one order. Use their return tag to return damaged items. When they say you can return online items to the store, it doesn't mean you'll receive civil treatment if you do that.
I opened up a charge card and I was quickly approved and I was happy about that I bought like $175 worth of stuff and I took back most of it except for a bathing suit I think the bathing suit was $29 when I got my bill it was $150 needless 2 say I won't be shopping there anymore I paid the bill but I'm done
Shari in St Charles MO is amazing, as well as her team!
I was asked if I wanted a store card to save 10 % I assumed it was a discount card so I agreed and a few min later the cashier informed me I dodnt qualiry for their credit card of which I had no idea I was applying for so I asked her if that did a hard hit on my credit report as I have been trying to improve my credit, she told me NO it wouldnt. Later when i got home i checked credit karma and realized she lied not only didnt she clearly explain that it was a store credit card but it removed 17 points from my credit report. So be aware before applying for their discount card its actially a store credit card that removes points from credit score. Had the cashier told me it was a credit card I wouldn't have applied I knew I wouldnt qualify for one yet.
Probably one of the best companies to make it through a pandemic. Still open late and have the best deals. The lines are long but that's ok when you're getting good deals
I ordered a lot of clothes online from tj maxx for me and my kids a few week back and I received all my items. I made 4 orders and didn't have a problem with any of the orders. My first order took 9 days but the other 3 only took 7 days. The clothes looked great!
